Vivo X Fold 5 is going to launch on the date of June 25, 2023. The design and color options of this phone have also been revealed. This phone will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor X Fold 3. Moreover, it will be water and dust resistant with IPX8, IPX9 and IP5X ratings.
Design and build
The thickness of the Vivo X Fold 5 will be 4.3mm when closed and 9.3mm when opened. It will come in a book-style foldable design, with a large circular camera module and a relatively slim profile. Moreover, it will be 11.2mm when folded and 5.2mm when unfolded.
Display and technology
The Vivo X Fold 5 will use an 8T LTPO panel, which will ensure better power efficiency and smoother visuals. Both its inside and outside screens will be AMOLED displays with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. This technology will give it a premium feel.
Battery and Charging
The Vivo X Fold 5 will have a 6,000mAh battery, which is more than the previous models. It will support 80W wired and 40W wireless fast charging, as well as offer reverse charging facility. All these features make it a complete smartphone.
Camera
This foldable phone will have a triple rear camera setup, which will include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. It will be supported by Zeiss optics, which will provide a great experience for photography lovers.
Performance and Features
The Vivo X Fold 5 comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which provide high performance. It will come with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Apart from this, it will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, alert slider and AI-driven features.
